First off, Merry Christmas!! We are spending Christmas in our new rental house in Altus, Oklahoma. We are expecting to be here until the end of March. For everyone who is dying to know what Altus is like, let me tell you; it is incredible! As you read that you might think that I am being facetious. Believe it or not, I am being serious. Maybe it is because I know I only have to spend 3 months here, but Jen and I are making the most of it.
One of the best things about Altus is that behind every house, there is a gravel road with everyone's dumpster. Jen and I have been cruising down these gravel roads and finding the deals! We are huge dumpster divers... huge classy dumpster divers lol. So far, we have about $200 worth of solid lumber which will help with building some furniture for the house.
Other than that, we have been doing C-17 simulator training which is pretty fun. This plane is going to be a blast to fly.
Before we headed out to Altus, we picked up our trailer from my parents house and replaced it with a truck that we bought for hauling the RV. My parents said they love to have lawn art so they can always remember us, so I try and leave something at their house:) I also decided to leave some ruts in their backyard by getting Jolene and the trailer stuck in the mud. One second the grass is solid and then it just gave and I sunk right in. Sorry Dad!! The truck that we bought has been sitting for a while at one of my brother's house, so we will have another brother fix it up! I got the best family!! My wonderful wife has started a huge macramé project in one room at Altus and is practicing handstands in another room:)
Lastly, I will leave you with a wonderful mustache photo. My Dad and brother surprised me with these beautiful relicts for our graduation. Haha!!
