For July 4th we went to Minnesota to see Jen's family. Their weather up there was a very nice break from the Mississippi humidity and it was great to spend time with them again!
On our flight home from MN they were offering $500 to anyone who will take a later flight. Then they went up to $600 and someone took it. Then we were on the plane and they offered $700 for another person and Jen and I looked at each other and knew this was destiny! She got up and took it and pretty much paid for our trip to Minnesota!
The next weekend we had tickets to see Carrie Underwood at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and earlier in the week we signed up for a military couple's retreat to the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. It was a busy weekend, but we got to do these two trips that Jen has been wanting to do. We turned it into a celebration for Jen's birthday and our anniversary.
I cant believe we have been married for 3 years now and I love her more and more each year! I honestly can't imagine what life would be like without this crazy girl, and I would never want to imagine. But I have to say that we have grown a lot together over these 3 years and I look forward to seeing where God takes us in the years to come! The last weekend of the month we did our first TRIATHLON!!! It was a Sprint Triathlon which is the short version, but it was a ton of fun and we will be doing more of these in the future. Sometime soon we will be doing the full triathlon or an Iron Man. We both did a lot better than we expected so we are looking forward to pushing ourselves even harder next time. Now we are starting to train for a marathon in Memphis in December!
Yes, we are too cheap to purchase the photos, but we will screen shot them for memory's sake and Jen's swimming photo was an old man, so we don't get to see Jen in her sweet swim cap:(
Jen was also able to finish a time lapse video of us renovating our RV/home. We also have another video that goes into more depth about how we were able to do everything. Enjoy and I will see you next month!
